Mykhaylo Ptoukha Institute for Demography and Life Quality Research
Mykhaylo Ptoukha Institute for Demography and Life Quality Research of Sciences of Ukraine was founded in 2002 under Order No. 556-r of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 26 September 2002, “On the Establishment of the Institute for Demography and Social Studies,” and Resolution No. 246 of the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine dated 9 October 2002.

The Institute cooperates with international organizations and foreign research institutions, including UNDP, UNFPA, UNICEF, the European Commission, the World Bank, ILO, IOM, WHO, the National Institute for Demography of France, the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research, and the Vienna Institute of Demography.
